- Attorney in private practice in Newtown, Pennsylvania for more than 30 years
- Admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Federal District Court for Eastern Pennsylvania and the Courts of Pennsylvania.
- Graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and Rutgers School of Law
- Active in the Community, Judge McMaster served as President of the Bensalem School Board as well as a board member of the Bucks County IU #22, and Bucks County Technical School. He also served on the Delaware Valley Regional Finance Authority and is active with the James Michener Art Museum.

- Provide free transportation, from three locations in the county, to the Veterans’ Hospital for 60,000 Bucks County veterans – the only county in Pennsylvania to do so
- Fund a county-wide library system of seven branch libraries, plus provide support for community libraries
- Support a state-of-the-art emergency management center, fielding over a million calls annually for police, fire and ambulance
- Expand Bucks County Community College with new campus locations in upper and lower Bucks County
