Bucks County Republican Committee Chair Pat Poprik congratulated Kathleen “K.C.” Tomlinson on her decisive victory in the Special Election for the 18th Legislative District.
“Congratulations to K.C. Tomlinson on her decisive victory in Bensalem. We are confident that with the progressive shift of the Democratic Party, voters will be looking to the GOP and its candidates for leadership this year. Last night’s double-digit win for K.C., in a district that Hilary Clinton carried easily in 2016, is the first in what will be a string of Republican victories from now through November.
Voters sent a clear message last night – they want to protect Bensalem’s quality of life. They rejected the negative, Philadelphia-style politics on full display by her opponent’s campaign. We look forward to working with K.C. to create better paying-job opportunities for our families, strengthen our schools, and keep our families safe from the opioid epidemic.
We want to thank all the volunteers and poll workers who joined this campaign to ensure that the nearly 60,000 citizens have representation in the PA State House when it is needed most. State Representative-elect Tomlinson will make sure every voice in Bensalem is heard in Harrisburg. The Bucks County Republican Party is proud to support her as she seeks a full two-year term in November.”
As of this release, unofficial results show an overall voter turnout of around 20%. State Representative-elect K.C. Tomlinson will serve the remainder of former State Rep. Gene DiGirolamo’s term. She’s currently the recommended Republican candidate for the April 28th primary election for a full two-year term.
